Video visits
Seeing patients remotely — the clinic switch, per-doctor opt-in, and how a video appointment runs.
Two switches
Video visits turn on at two levels, both required:
- The clinic switch — Clinic Settings → Features → video visits (this one is also on the mobile app's clinic settings).
- Per doctor — each doctor opts in on their own membership ("offers video"). A clinic can have video on while only some doctors take video appointments.
Booking a video visit
A video appointment is booked like any other — the desk (or the patient, on the public booking page, when the doctor offers video) just picks video instead of in-person. The patient gets the join link by WhatsApp; the doctor joins from the appointment.
Running the visit
The visit is charted like any other encounter — typed as a telemedicine visit — with the same prescription, labs and charge flow. The record doesn't care that the room was virtual; see Visits.
Good to know
- The join link is per-appointment — no standing meeting room, nothing to reuse or leak.
- If the connection fails, the appointment is still there: rebook it as in-person or retry — the desk sees it like any other appointment.
Still stuck?
If you already use Angel, ask from inside it — Help & support carries your clinic, screen and app version with the message, so nobody has to describe their setup. Otherwise write to us and a human will answer.
