Getting started
From signing up to your first booked appointment — clinic subdomain, trial, team invites, and the first-day checklist.
Your clinic's own address
When you create a clinic, it gets its own address on the web: yourclinic.angelhealth.app. Everything about your clinic lives there — your team signs in there, and if you enable them, your public booking page and patient portal live there too. Patients never see other clinics, and other clinics never see you.
The trial
Every new clinic starts with a 30-day trial of the full product — every feature, one doctor seat. No card is needed to start. When the trial ends, subscribe from Billing to keep going; if a subscription ever lapses, Angel switches the clinic to read-only rather than locking you out — you can always read your patients' records.
First-day checklist
- Set up your clinic profile — name, phone, address, and working language for patient messages (Arabic, English, or both).
- Add your team — invite doctors, nurses, reception and admin staff from Team settings. Each person gets their own account and role; see Roles & permissions. Only doctor seats affect billing — nurses, reception and admin staff are free.
- Set doctors' schedules — each doctor's working days and hours drive the booking calendar, including split shifts.
- Turn on what you use — features like public booking, the patient portal, WhatsApp messages and video visits are switches in Clinic Settings → Features. Everything is included; the switches just control what your clinic exposes.
- Register your first patient and book a visit — the fastest way to learn the flow is to run one visit end to end: book, check in, chart, prescribe, take payment.
The welcome tour
On first sign-in, Angel walks you through the essentials. You can replay the tour any time from the ? menu in the sidebar, and every non-obvious setting has a ? popover next to it. If you'd rather explore without hints, switch them off in My Settings.
Web and mobile
The web app is the full product. The mobile app carries everything a clinic does daily — patients, appointments, charting, prescriptions, payments, waitlist, recalls, reports and day-to-day clinic settings. Rare setup tasks (payment gateway credentials, WhatsApp setup, patient CSV import, subscription management, the landing-page editor) are web-only by design — they're reachable from a phone browser when needed.
The language you work in
Angel speaks Arabic and English, and until you say otherwise it follows the device you're on — open it on an Arabic phone and the app is Arabic, including the welcome tour. If your device is set to a language Angel doesn't speak, it falls back to English.
Pick a language in My Settings and it stops following the device: that choice is stored on your account and comes with you to every phone and browser you sign in on. Choosing "Phone language" (on mobile) or "Browser language" (on the web) hands the choice back, and every device goes back to deciding for itself.
Arabic and English read in opposite directions, and on mobile that direction is set when the app starts. So if you switch language in My Settings on the phone, the app asks you to close and reopen it once to finish the switch. A language that arrives on its own — one you picked on another device, or a change to the phone's own language — never interrupts you: it takes effect the next time you open the app.
This is your own setting — it changes nothing for anyone else on the team, and it's separate from the language your patients see. Patient messages and your public pages follow the clinic settings described in Clinic settings.
Getting help
Help & support lives in the app on both surfaces — report a problem, ask how something works, or suggest a feature, and the answer comes back as an in-app notification. See Support.
Still stuck?
If you already use Angel, ask from inside it — Help & support carries your clinic, screen and app version with the message, so nobody has to describe their setup. Otherwise write to us and a human will answer.
