Audit trail
The who-did-what record — what gets logged, who can see it, and how long it's kept.
What it is
The audit trail is the clinic's who-did-what record: who viewed, created, changed or deleted what, and when. Sensitive changes are logged field by field — what the value was and what it became — so a dispute is settled by the record, not by memory.
Who sees it
Owners and admins, for their own clinic only. It's one of the deliberately closed business surfaces (why).
It can't be edited
The trail is append-only by construction — nobody, at any role, can rewrite or delete an entry. That includes Angel: if Angel staff ever access clinic data for lawful support reasons, that access itself is logged and visible to you.
Retention
Entries are kept for your country's medical record retention period and then trimmed automatically. You don't manage this.
Still stuck?
If you already use Angel, ask from inside it — Help & support carries your clinic, screen and app version with the message, so nobody has to describe their setup. Otherwise write to us and a human will answer.
