Patient portal
What patients see when they sign in — their records, appointments, uploads, and paying deposits.
What it is
With the portal on, patients sign in at yourclinic.angelhealth.app/portal with their phone number and a one-time WhatsApp code — no passwords. They see their own record at your clinic: upcoming appointments, visit history, prescriptions, and lab results.
What patients can do
- See their appointments and history with your clinic.
- Download their records as a PDF export.
- Upload documents — old results, reports from elsewhere — ahead of a visit. Uploads land in a staff verification queue and reach the chart only after someone opens and accepts them (see Lab & imaging orders).
- Pay a deposit online, if one is pending and online payment is set up.
What patients cannot do
The portal is a window, not a door: patients can't edit anything on their chart, can't see other patients or staff notes areas not meant for them, and can't book outside the rules of your public booking page.
Turning it on
The portal is a switch in Clinic Settings → Features, and needs a live subscription and WhatsApp connected (WhatsApp messages) — the sign-in code has no other way to reach the patient, so the switch refuses to go on without both and tells you which one is missing.
Each patient's portal access is tied to the phone number on their chart — keeping phone numbers current is what keeps the portal working.
Still stuck?
If you already use Angel, ask from inside it — Help & support carries your clinic, screen and app version with the message, so nobody has to describe their setup. Otherwise write to us and a human will answer.
